In between cracking on in the workshop, we’ve been having a lovely time quietly progressing the gallery/showroom. Still a work-in-progress obviously(!), but the endgame is to have it ready for our inaugural studio open day – an annual event which this year will fall on the 13th November; being the closest Sunday to our Neddy’s hangin’ day.
[So pencil it into your dance cards, lovies, on the off chance you’re around & footloose on the day. n(Ed)]
Megsie’s hopping into more oyster shell production as we speak…
Please note that we are not opening a commercial gallery as such. To all intents and purposes the gallery space (set up in the courtroom) is an in-house showroom; displaying finished pieces from our own studio workshop. That said, we do anticipate holding pop-up exhibitions from time to time (when the force moves us), featuring the work of selected artists of an empathetic bent.
[Megsie’s quite keen to keep her curatorial wheels oiled…in a very low-key, casual kinda way. Such events will be short and sweet; rather in the (blooming) nature of a cactus flower. n(Ed)]
